Metallica/Lou Reed Project Details Emerge

June 21, 2011

Ever since news surfaced that Metallica was working with Lou Reed, fans were left in the dark about what that meant for Metallica. Was the band going soft? Has James lost his voice? But fans can rest a little easier now that new details have emerged that say the band is still crunching nasty riffs and speeding toward oblivion. What a relief. The raw material for the collaboration came from a series of songs Reed had penned for a theatrical production called Lulu based on stories by German author Frank Wedekind.
